At 6:40 a.m. this morning we received our PDF copy of the confirmation that our I-800 approval has been cabled to the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou, China.  Our agency’s staff in China should be dropping off our paperwork today or tomorrow, to be picked up in 2 weeks.  A day or two after that (Nov 9?, Nov 12?) We will begin our wait for Travel Approval! The wait is 1-3 weeks, with the average being 14 days.
